Born: 1220's ?

Died: August 31, 1287 in Basel

Not of noble birth, Konrad was perhaps the first Minnesänger to make a living at his art. A prolific poet, his output includes 23 shorter lyrics, some of which are supplied with melodies in a 15c ms. in Colmar. A single melody in a Jena ms. (El.f.101) is in a quite different style and highlights the problem of attribution.
