Life

Born: 31 January 1950

Biography

Lawrence Sisk studied at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (1968 – 1971), then at Roosevelt University (Bachelor of Music, Music History, 1977), and at Northwestern University (PhD, Musicology, 1986).

He is Chairman of the Music Department at Lewis University, near Chicago, where he conducts the choir and orchestra, teaches courses in music history and theory, and offers applied instruction in bassoon. He has also taught in the foreign language program.

Sisk is Music Director of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra and Choirmaster at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Aurora, IL.
