Description: A four part setting in Renaissance counterpoint based upon the gregorian chant melody, which is one of the antiphons sung during the washing of the feet on Maundy Thursday.

Latin text Mandatum novum do vobis: ut diligatis invicem, sicut dilexi vos, dicit Dominus. Ps. Beati inmaculati in via: qui ambulant in lege Domini.

English text I give to you a new commandment: that you shall love each other as I have loved you. Thus saith the Lord. Ps. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

German text

Ein neues Gebot gebe ich Euch: dass Ihr einander liebet so wie ich Euch geliebt.
So spricht der HERR.
