English translation
About Martin and Alix
To sell his pig young Martin took a spin
With Alix who, when they were in the wild
Asked Martin to commit with her the sin
Of him on her. And Martin asked, beguiled:
And who will hold our hog, you saucy child?
Who? Alix said: On me you can rely.
So with the pig well settled down close by,
On Martin climbed, and pumped with all his might
The swine got scared, and Alix gave a cry,
Our pig’s a-boltin’, Martin, hang on tight!
