Features canons between the Tenor and Quintus throughout (except in the Benedictus and the central section of the Credo), starting with a canon at the octave, 8 beats apart, and then canons at decreasing intervals (of pitch and time), until we reach a canon (in augmentation) at the unison, beginning 1 beat apart. In the second petition of the Agnus Dei, a 6th voice is added and there is a canon between the Tenor, Quintus and Sextus.
