General Information

Title: Missa cum quatuor vocibus
Composer: Pierre Colin

Number of voices: 4vv   Voicing: STTB

Genre: SacredMass

Language: Latin
Instruments: a cappella
Published: Not known

Description: From the Música Colonial Archive. A four part mass. Attributed in the late 17th/early 18th Century source to "Petrus Colineus". There may have been a setting of the Benedictus, which was not included in the source, because by that time in Spain and Latin America the Benedictus was usually sung to a simple 3 part setting.

External websites: copy of the manuscript, the original of which is in Guatemala Cathedral.
