Description: Once thought to be composed by Jacob French, research indicates it's by Nathaniel Billings. Tune varies between F Major and F minor. Words by Isaac Watts, 1707, Hymn 79 of Book 1, with six stanzas. Billings used all six stanzas of Watts' hymn in his composition.
