Navicella che'a bel vento
porgi fed'e lasc'il lido,
non tal lett'in mare infido,
bel sentier d'acqu’e d'argento.

Non fai tu come repente,
cangia fe volubil onda
e che spesso aura gioconda
falsi' horror d'austro fermente.

S'a turbar l'instabil campo
vien al Ciel procella oscura,
se co' vent'il mar congiura
qual ti sia securo scampo?

Non mi dir che in bosco alpino
ti nutristi e d'or ti fregi,
riverir si fatti pregi,
non sa mai furor marino.

Ah che fai rivolg'in porto
hor che puoi l'incaute vele
se tributo al mar crudele
dar non dei tuo legno absorto.

Lasso me che al tuo periglio
sa por mente il pensier mio,
poi sommerso in ciec'oblio,
e per lui si bel consiglio
