Refrain:
Not for all desire will I ever lose myself
But for the bread of God, which is attained so gladly.
Verses:
1. Let me never lose myself for all that the eye can be hold;
for all that the eye can be hold is born from inward sight.
2. Let me never lose myself for all that the mind can surround;
for all that the mind can surround is planted on wisdom’s shore.
3. Let me never lose myself for all that the arms can enclose;
for all that the arms can enclose is found in compassion’s gift.
