Ty tichá, tajemná a bez mezî,
ty klidná po zběsilém shonu dne
ty krása, která náhle vitězi,
když na všednost jejî zář dopadne.
Den lopotî se, spoután řetězy,
chléb svůj si shánî v práci nesnadné,
den lopotî se, spoután řetězy
a všecko pokrývá svou temnou rzî a popelem,
v němž srdce vychladá…
Svět jiný, lepšî, zapomněný již
jen tebou ještě někdy ožije,
když na zem prosaickou zazářîš…
Tu bolest je měkčî
a lásky tolik je, ž k nebi čnî,
ty pohádková noci měsî čnî.
