Edition notes: Reduction from 30 voices to 10, based on the edition by Sabine Cassola. Even in the sections where the composer deployed his full 30 voices, he mostly only composed six lines of music, which were then duplicated many times, so his conception was simpler than it looks at first sight. Using 10 voices enables antiphonal effects to be preserved.

Italian text O fortunato giorno poi che di gioia e speme lieta canta la terra e 'l ciel insieme: ma quanto fia più adorno quando farà ritorno per Ferdinando ogni real costume e con eterne piume da l'uno e l'altro Polo la Fam' andrà col suo gran nome a volo.

English translation Oh happy day when, full of joy and hope, both Earth and the heavens together will sing: yet more splendid by far it will be when every royal quality returns thanks to Ferdinand and on eternal pinions Fame will fly from pole to pole, bearing his great name.
