Italian text
O liete piante herbett'e bianchi fiori,
candidi gigli e pallide viole,
ditemi dov'è gito il mio bel sole.
Ombrosi faggi alti nodosi mirti,
oscure grotte inhabitate sole,
come prive vivete del mio sole.
Ornati mirti e voi schietti arborscelli,
che state ad ascoltare i miei lamenti,
constate al mio bel sole quest' accenti.
A la fresch'aura fè da me partita,
e mi lascio senz' alma e senza vita:
Deh torna'o mio bel sole à darmi aita.
