French text Orsus a coup qu'on se reveille veze ouir le chant melodieulx du rossignol que ne sommeille et va chantant son chant gratieulx ung bon amy laultre veille. Modern French Aussi promptement qu'on se réveille, venez écouter le chant mélodieux du rossignol que ne dort pas et va chantant son chant gracieux. Un bon ami pour l'autre veille.

English translation As soon as you wake up come and hear the nightingale's beautiful song. He doesn't sleep but sings his gracious song. A good friend keeping watch over the other.
