Spanish text
Pedro es el maestro que sabe
echar hoy el contrapunto
verde facistol del alba
de Flora canoro vulgo
desde el sol in que baja ilustrado
hasta el Ut en que levanta agudo.
En sacro elevado solio
Pedro sus glorias obtuvo
siendo preceptor sagrado
maestra de capilla augusto.
Por que levantarsi diestro
con tal armonía supo
que cayó negando al alto
y alzó creyéndole sumo.
Contrapunto entonó el gallo
y Pedro se explica al punto
en un concertado llanto
de amargo armonioso rumbo.
Clausuló su fantasía
en manos de los verdugos
echando con el martirio
la clave maesta a sus triunfos.
