Biography
Vermont is recorded among choirboys in the maîtrise of the Ste Chapelle Paris (an ensemble that travelled frequently with the court) in 1510 and became director in the early 1520's. 12 works are attributed to him; it is not known how (or indeed if) he was related to Pernot [Pierre] Vermont [le jeune] (c.1495-1558).
