Corro per gir’ a morte
Sì sperando i misi danni finire.
Ma poi ch’io giug’al passo
Che port’in questo
mar pien di tormento
Tanto piacer ne sento
che l’alma si rinforza
Ond’io no’l passo.
Così’l viver m’ancide,
così la morte mi ritorn’in vita
O miseria infinita
Che l’un apport’e l’altra non recide.
