Quiescat vox tua a ploratu
et oculi tui a lacrimis
Qui dispersit Israel congregabit eum,
et custodiet sicut pastor gregem suum.

Revertentur filii tui ad terminos suos,
convertam luctum eorum in gaudium,
et consolabor eos, et lætificabo a dolore suo

English.png English translation

Let thy voice cease from weeping,
and thy eyes [from] tears.
He that scattered Israel will gather him:
and he will keep him as the shepherd doth his flock.

The children shall return to their own borders,
I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them,
and make them joyful after their sorrow.

(Douay-Rheims Bible: selected texts from Jeremiah Chapter 31)
