Biography
Richard Partridge was baptised on 15 September 1769 in Kennerleigh (a village some 7km north of Crediton
), the eldest son of Richard Partridge and Elizabeth (née Gibbons). He is described in various sources as a gentleman, and received an income from a leased farm called Leycots in Kennerleigh.
