Biography: Robinson McClellan has drawn increasing attention from audiences and performers for his direct, expressive style and his richly evocative choral music. Recent commissions from NYC-based trio Eos, the Oregon Bach Festival Composers Symposium, Christ Church (New Haven), Yale Schola Cantorum, and organist Carson Cooman have brought his music to a growing audience in the U.S. and Europe. His music covers a broad spectrum of styles and media, from chamber vocal music, experimental chamber music and orchestral compositions to choral church anthems. His work focuses on vocal music of all kinds, and he seeks new ways to approach traditional sacred musical forms and subject matter, including liturgical drama. He is currently studying composition at the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music. Visit http://www.robinsonmcclellan.com.
