Description: A setting of verses from Isaiah 45 and Psalm 19 (Vulgate Psalm18) which form the Introit for the Fourth Sunday in Advent.
The motet is set for four part unaccompanied choir (SATB) and is part of Robert Hugill's sequence of motets Tempus per Annum setting the Latin introits for all the Sundays in the church's year and for major feasts.

Rorate coeli desuper, et nubes pluant iustum: aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem.
Coeli enarrant gloriam Dei: et opera manuum eius annuntiat firmamentum.
English translation
Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the Just:
let the earth be opened and bud forth a Saviour..
The heavens show forth the glory of God: and the firmament declareth the work of his hands.
