General Information

Title: Salva nos
Composer: Heinrich Finck

Number of voices: 5vv   Voicing: SATTB

Genre: SacredMotet

Language: Latin
Instruments: Wind ensemble

Published: 1560

Description: Transcribed from the Royal Danish Library manuscript KB 1872. The notes' values and the accidentals are as in the manuscript. The text and its underlay is hypothtical. As the manuscript was intended for the use of the Royal Danish Band, the voices without text should be played on loud wind instruments. The notes' values within the "ligaturæ" are as follows: the left upstemmed notes are semibreves - the unstemmed notes are breves. The “musica ficta” suggestions are in the MIDI and MusicXML files.
