Latin text Da pácem, Dómine, in diébus nóstris; quía non est álius, qui púgnet pro nóbis, nísi tu, Déus nóster. O crux, áve, spes única, hoc passiónis témpore. Auge píis iustítiam, reísque dóna véniam. Vos amíci méi éstis, si fecéritis, quae praecípio vóbis, dícit Dóminus. Glória, laus et hónor tíbi sit, rex Chríste, redémptor: cúi puérile décus prómpsit Osána píum. Da túis fidélibus in te confidéntibus sácrum septenárium.

English translation Grant peace, O Lord, in our time, for there is no other who will fight for us but you, our God. O cross, hail, unique hope in this time of passion. Increase justice for the holy, and grant leniency to the accused. You are my friends, if you do what I command you, says the Lord. Glory, praise and honor be to you, king Christ, redeemer: for whom a childhood honor brought forth a holy Hosana. Give to your faithful, trusting in you, a sevenfold sacrament.
