General Information

Title: Salve sancta parens (Tr91)
Composer: Anonymous
Lyricist:

Number of voices: 4vv   Voicing: ATBB

Genre: SacredIntroit

Language: Latin
Instruments: Unknown

Published: Trent codex - Tr91

Description: The florid counterpoint, the lack of text in the Sperius, Contra Altus and Contra Bassus, the unusually low range of the Contra Bassus and the similarity with later compositions, such as for instance 'La Spagna' and 'T'Andernaken' in the Danish manuscript KB 1872, can suggest an instrumental performance, except for the Tenor.
