Biography
Sebastian Göring received his first piano lessons and music theory tuition at the age of 5, later became a member of famous Leipzig St. Thomas Boys' Choir (Thomanerchor), learned the clarinet and passed his A-Levels at the College of Music Markkleeberg (near Leipzig). He has studied music pedagogy, voice training and computer science at Weimar and Jena, as well as choir conducting with Prof. Gert Frischmuth (Erfurt) and orchestra conducting with head conductor Hans-Jörg Leipold (Leipzig).

Sebastian Göring has set up and leads a number of ensembles of various kinds; among them children's, women's, men's and mixed choirs, vocal groups of 4 to 10 singers and a baroque orchestra. His projects include the première of "Szenen aus Parsifal" ("Scenes from Parsifal") by Rüdiger Hamm (1998), CD-recordings of music by Johann Ludwig Krebs (2000/2001) and Johann Heinrich Rolle (2004) as well as international concert tours to Murmansk/Russian Federation (2000), Israel (2003+2004), Poland (2005) and Japan (2005) with the Michaelstein Chamber Choir. He is also founder and conductor of the "Middle German Women's Chamber Choir", which is specialized on contemporary music.

His repertory is well balanced spread over the most categories of vocal and instrumental music - early polyphony, consort-music, opera, concert, oratorio, early and modern music - always in combination with intensively devoutness to an adequately interpretation of each music.
