The text underlaid in the Twelve Psalm Tunes and Eight Anthems is O praise the Lord with one consent, the metrical New Version of Psalm 135, but a note below the music reads 'N. B. The above Psalm may be sung as a Christmas Hymn to the words, Shepherds rejoice lift up your eyes And send your fears away. &c:'.
