2:10 Si bona suscepimus de manu Domini, mala autem quare non sustineamus? 1:21 Nudus egressus sum de utero matris mei, et nudus revertar illuc. Dominus dedit, |
English translation by Edward Tambling 2:10 If we have received good things from the hand of the Lord, why should we not endure bad things? 1:21 Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord has given, the Lord has taken away: as it has pleased the Lord, so is it done: blessed be the name of the Lord. |
