Description: This tune first appeared in The Waterhouse Manuscript, for three voices, Treble-Tenor-Bass, ascribed to "L B". It was first published in Stone and Wood's The Columbian Harmony for four voices, then in the 1804 Solomon Howe compilation, The Psalm-Singer's Assistant. Words by Isaac Watts, 1719, paraphrase of Psalm 17, stanza 6.
