French text Ta bonne grace et maintien gracieux Et le regard de tes deux riants yeux M’ont transporté le coeur de telle sorte, Que contraint suis de crier à la porte «Miséricorde au pauvre langoureux!»

English translation Your good grace and gracious bearing And the look of your two laughing eyes Have invaded my heart so much, That I am forced to shout at the door “Have pity on the poor languishing one!”
