What is not by Purcell?

I found this in description: "The solo setting (with continuo) is from Orpheus Britannicus. The SATB arrangement is of the solo version, but is not by Purcell. The second verse comes from the alternate setting (Z 379a) published in the Gentleman's Journal of June 1692." I moved the first sentence to the solo setting (CPDL 19840). But to which SATB setting does the second sentence refer? I guess to both, since the parts are similar in both SATB arrangements. If the SATB settings were not composed by Purcell, then they should be moved to another page under the correct composer – the SATB arrangements do look and sound very different from the Orpheus Britannicus original. Does the third sentence mean that the words to the second stanza come from the 1692 publication rather than Orpheus Britannicus? And is the music of the "alternate setting" by Purcell, and is that the source for the SATB arrangements? (I don't have access to the 1692 publication.) — Barry Johnston (talk) 17:29, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
