Talk:Psalm 147

"Johann Michael Haydn - Laudate Dominum version", if correctly identified, is the text of Haydn's "Laudate populi" (Offertorium pro omnie tempoore), MH 792. It makes no claim to be a setting of psalm 146/147. The text has three sections - the first includes portmanteau phrases which indeed occur in the psalm under discussion, but also occur elsewhere; the latter two sections bear no similarity to the psalm whatever, being compiled from a number of other sources. Therefore this version, with pendant translation, has no raison d'etre on this page, but should be transferred to an appropriate work page, should one be created.Cjshawcj (talk) 02:08, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
