(summary) Thomas Attwood Walmisley was born in London, son of organist and composer [[Thomas Forbes Walmisley]] and studied under studied under his godfather Thomas Attwood and trained at Cambridge. He was Professor of Music at Cambridge and held organist positions at Croydon Church; Trinity College, Cambridge; and St. John’s College, Cambridge. He died in Hastings. His compositions include services, anthems, odes, chants, responses, hymns, songs and part-songs.
