Biography
Thomas Roberts was born in Bodmin, the youngest of the three children of Thomas Roberts and Elizabeth (née Best). He became a Wesleyan preacher, and was appointed to the Londonderry circuit in 1786. In 1790 he was appointed to Bristol, and subsequently worked there and in South Wales.
