Latin.png Latin text

Tollite hostias,
et adorate Dominum
in atrio sancto eius.
Laetentur coeli,
et exultet terra
a facie Domini,
quoniam venit.

English.png English translation

Praise the Lord of hosts*,
and adore God
in His holy place.
Rejoice, heaven,
and exult, all the earth
before the Lord,
who comes.
  • The first line literally means 'Bring offerings' (Psalm 96, verse 8).

German.png German translation

Alle Welt freue sich:
Christ ist geboren,
Gottes Sohn kam in die Welt
uns zum Heil erkoren.
Jauchzet ihr Himmel,
frohlocke du Erde,
bringet Ehre und Ruhm dem Herrn,
Alleluja.
