I am a Civil Servant approaching retirement, and wish to share the fruits of a lifetime in music. I was a chorister in Queens College and then Worcester College in Oxford. I played Cello and Double Bass, and led a recorder group. I listened attentively and followed in scores such choirs as The Sixteen, Tallis Scolars and Cardinalls Musick, and with reading as well gained a University standard knowledge of Tudor Church Music, both pre and post reformation. I sang with a fine choir in the Extra Mural Department of Cardiff University, and was the director of another, where I shared my musical explorations and created many manuscript scores. I was an organist at various churches, and a Lay Clerk at Llandaff Cathedral. I also sang in large choirs, to perform works such as Bach's Passions and B Minor Mass. Several typeset scores I had already done I loaded onto IMSLP, and am now engaged on a complete set of Fayrfax' five part masses. I plan to score such of Giovanni Gabrieli's 1597 publication as hasn't already been done. I have just typeset a score of White's Magnificat that I had prepared years earlier and now revised, having a particular liking for this composer. I don't see how I can resist following it with the six part Lamentations.
