- Edition notes: Transcribed from 1545 print. The first note in the Bass in measure 24 is originally C, which we think is an error (although present in the 1544 and 1595 prints of the piece, as well) and corrected to D. Original key (chiavi naturali) and note values.

Latin text
Vado ad eum qui misit me, et nemo ex vobis interrogat me quo vadis.
Si diligeretis me, gauderetis utique, quia vado ad Patrem.
(Joh 16,5 14,28).
English translation
I go to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me: Whither goest thou?
If you loved me you would indeed be glad, because I go to the Father.
Hungarian translation
Most elmegyek ahhoz, aki küldött engem, és senki közületek nem kérdi tőlem: `Hová mégy?'
Ha szeretnétek engem, örülnétek annak, hogy az Atyához megyek.
