Latin text
Veni in hortum meum soror mea sponsa,
messui myrram meam cum aromatibus meis;
comedi favum meum cum melle meo;
bibi vinum meum cum lacte meo;
comedite, amici, et bibite,
et inebriamini, carissimi.
English translation
I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride;
I have mixed my myrrh with my spices.
I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey;
I have drunk my wine with my milk.
and drink your fill, you who are most dear to me. (Song of Songs, Chapter 5)
