First published: 1794 in The Continental Harmony
Description: This tune first appears in The Waterhouse Manuscript, 1780-1781, for Tenor-Bass; so it probably was composed before then. Billings added the top voices and made some revisions before publishing it in 1794. In 1780-1794, Billings used the first two stanzas of Watts' paraphrase to psalm 18, first line "To thine almighty arm we owe."
