Latin text Vide homo quae pro te patior, Ad te clamo, qui pro te morior, Vide poenas quibus afficior; Vide clavos quibus confodior; Non est dolor sicut quo crucior; Et cum sit tantus dolor exterior, Intus tamen dolor est gravior, Tam ingratum cum te experior.

Italian translation Guarda uomo, quanto patisco per te, chiamo te, io che muoio per te, guarda le pene che m'infliggono; guarda i chiodi con cui mi traffiggono; non c'è dolore come quello di cui soffro, e se così grave pare il dolore esterno, quello interiore è ben più grave, poiché ti sento tanto ingrato. German translation Siehe, oh Mensch, was ich für dich leide. Zu dir ruf’ ich, der ich für dich sterbe. Sieh’ die Qualen, die sie mir bereiten. Sieh’ die Nägel, die mich nun durchbohren.
