virginitatis decus singulare,
re, sit tibi mei cura dum volo te laudare,
tibi et rosas cum floribus, cum floribus parare.
Sit decus singulare, virginitatis decus singulare,
re, sit tibi mei cura dum volo te laudare,
tibi et rosas cum floribus parare. Sit re.

English translation

O Virgin Mother, Full of grace,
Pure Virgin Beauty without compare,
For this, since I do sing thy praise,
Make my poor soul thy dearest care:
I give the rose a special place
Among thy flowers I prepare.
