Background
Richard W. Robbins is the director of choral activities at Shenandoah Conservatory, director of the Richmond Symphony Chorus, and artistic director of the Washington, D.C.-based early music ensembles Carmina and Illuminare. A published scholar and experienced conductor, Robbins has prepared choruses for renowned conductors and collaborated with classical, pop, and world music artists. He has extensive experience with choral-orchestral repertoire and has taught choral music in public schools. Robbins is a member of several choral organizations and has held academic positions at multiple universities.
