Insurrexerunt in me viri iniqui absque misericordia,
quaesierunt me interficere
et non pepercerunt in faciem meam spuere
et lanceis suis vulneraverunt me
et concussa sunt omnia ossa mea.
Effuderunt furorem suum in me,
fremuerunt contra me dentibus suis.
Ego autem existimabam me tanquam mortuum super terram.
German translation
Ungerechte Männer ohne Mitleid haben sich gegen mich erhoben,
sie suchten mich umzubringen
und hielten sich nicht zurück, in mein Gesicht zu spucken,
und mit ihren Lanzen verwundeten sie mich
und erschüttert sind alle meine Knochen.
Sie gossen ihr Wüten auf mich aus,
knirschten gegen mich mit ihren Zähnen.
Ich aber erachtete mich wie einen Toten auf Erden.
