Description: A setting of the Latin Advent Hymn for the service of Lauds. The text is from the 6th Century.
The music is based on the "Gregorian" chant for the hymn. Each verse gets progressively more complex.
A loose English translation is also provided based on the translation of James Ryman (c1492) and modernised by the composer.
