Description: A setting of the even verses where the chant formula of the second tone for Magnificat is used as melodic material throughout the settings. The Fecit potentiam in braccio suo is a SAB trio and the final Sicut Erat in principio is in five parts where the superius secundus and the contratenor parts are a two in one part canon where the contratenor starts one breve later at subdiatessaron (a perfect fourth lower. The orig. print indicates the pitch but not the timing of the canon.) The alternative six-part setting where the tenor and the contratenor secundus form a two in one part canon in diapente (a perfect fifth above) is edited here as a separate document.
