Laudate Dominum omnes gentes

We have three settings numbered I, II & III, but these are in a different order than Grove, which lists I concertato a 5 [!!!], II w vlni, III a8, as well as (iv) for solo bass (but why lower case and parentheses?). All 3 choral pieces are from the 1641 Selve, so no useful information about chronology can be conveyed by numbers; I propose moving the pages to Laudate Dominum, SV 272 (Claudio Monteverdi) &c. Fine by me. Keep up the good work. --Bobnotts talk 22:14, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi Richard, the Stattkus-Verzeichnis lists the three settings as SV 272, SV 273, and SV 274, so moving all of them to SV 272 perhaps isn't a viable solution for the title, at least. It's a normal feature of collections like the Selva morale for there to be multiple settings of the common vespers psalms, and in the partbooks in this case they are all referred to as Primo, Secondo, and on occasion Terzo... The composer's page usually has the instrumentation or keys listed, so that's the best place to indicate the differentiation between the distinct works, e.g. I (in G) 6vv, 2vl, bc; II (in D) 8vv, bc; III (in G) 8vv, bc.
