Title

This is a modern composition in English ("Faithful Cross") but now the title is in Latin only. Isn't this strange (to say the least)? If we want the title to indicate the original source of text, then perhaps a better solution would be "Faithful Cross (Crux fidelis) (Kathryn Rose)". Otherwise someone searching for this work in its original title will not be able to find it. What do others think? —Carlos Email.gif 13:04, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Composers may title their works however they wish (cf. Ex Ore Innocentium by John Ireland, the lyrics of which are in English). Based on the PDF score, this work is titled Crux fidelis so I think we should retain that title. --Bobnotts talk 14:47, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Oops sorry, your're right, I didn't notice the title was in Latin inside the PDF. But in this specific case, the composer herself chose to include the English translation to the title when she created the page; I don't think we should change it unless asked for. (right now, I can't think of any established CPDL naming convention that disallows the use of two languages in the title, correct me if I'm wrong.) —Carlos Email.gif 17:02, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
