If I'd spent longer thinking on the subject before typing I would have termed the heading as "Songs for solo voice", as opposed to choral partsongs. This is following the lead of the New Berlioz Edition to some degree, which uses this type of categorisation. (I notice the new submitters of works haven't noticed that quite often there are already existing pages for the works they're submitting.) | |||
