Latin.png Latin text

Transeunte Domino clamabat coecus ad eum,
et qui praeibant, increpabant eum.
Ipse vero multo magis clamabat:
Miserere mei, fili David.

Et ait illi Jesus:
Quid vis ut faciam tibi?
Domine, ut videam.
Et Jesus ait illi:
Respice, fides tua te salvum fecit.
Et confestim vidit et sequebatur illum magnificans Deum.

English.png English translation

As the Lord was passing, a blind man called out to him;
Those who led the way rebuked him.
But he cried out all the more,
Have mercy on me, Son of David.

And Jesus said to him:
What do you want me to do for you?
O lord, that I might see.
And Jesus answered:
See, your faith has made you whole.
Immediately the man received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God.
