Si elle faisait un effort de bonne volonté un brief secours lui sera d'un grand support.

English translation If suffering does not end in solace, the soul is terribly tormented, up to a point where death ensues, without the slightest comforting. If only she would be kinder towards him, this brief gesture would mean the world to him.
