Latest news: Extremely busy; the next work to be tackled (mid-to-late October 2008) will be to round off the Biber Requiem. Apologies in advance to the poster who wanted it ready for this years' All Souls' Day.

Other unfinished projects: (yes, I know I have way too many irons in the fire...)

Berlioz, Requiem, and other large choral works : on hold.
Berlioz, Te Deum : still halfway through the 7th (orchestral) movement. Then back to proofreading, and I can work on the vocal score simultaneously.
Biber, Requiem to be done next as mentioned above; as for the Missa Salisburgensis, I will try to do perhaps the Gloria sometime next year. Borodin, Polovetsian Dances from Prince Igor: final revisions still waiting on my Russian expert to proof my transliteration. Nick!
Brahms, Schickalslied : on hold.
Brian, Symphony 1 in d, »The Gothic« The upcoming vocal score has not yet been handed over for proofreading.
Brian, Symphony 7 in C : not much of the critical edition work has been done yet, and I have had no news from the proof-reader in England.
Bruckner, Mass in E minor (1882 version, full score) : on hold.
Brumel, Missa Et ecce terræmotus : performing version complete, but not tidied up to my standards of perfection.
Horsley, Suite from Euterpe : on hold.
Mozart, Great Mass in C/minor : on hold till after Biber Requiem as mentioned above. To do list: complete [A2]-[A3] in full score; add figured bass to the organ part; realise the organ part; finish the vocal score; extract and cue the orchestral parts... PDF everything, then it might be all done...
Mozart, K 543, Symphony in E flat : 1st and 3rd movements done, 2nd movement needs to be put in, finish revising finale.
Mozart, Requiem urtext : need to add figured bass. One minor underlay error and an addition to one of the appendices.
Monteverdi, 1610 Mass : nothing lately apart from completing the Sop 1 part, but is next on the drawing board. i.e. S2/A/T1/T2/B and bassus generalis parts need work.
Monteverdi, Orfeo Acts 2-5, 1610 Vespers : Vespers on hold, Orfeo will probably be done in parallel with 1610 Mass.
Palestrina, 2 masses without Credo : on hold, till I get the appropriate Haberl volumes out from the library.
Schubert, D 759, Symphony in B minor, have finished revision of the completion movements (Scherzo and Finale), so next go back and revise the familiar movements, the Allegro moderato and Andante con moto.
Vicentino, L'antica musica (weird Renaissance music utilitising 31 notes to the octave!): on hold.

Hi Philip

One of the links to your busking book on Come again sweet love doth now invite (John Dowland) seems to be broken. Just thought I'd let you know. Bobnotts 04:42, 26 January 2007 (PST)

Ta, it was case sensitivity between "Come again" and "Come Again" that was the problem. Philip Legge @ © Φ 21:46, 18 February 2007 (PST)

Incorrect Link

Hi Philip,

Thanks for putting the TUMS songbook stuff on line. I used to sing in QUMS, and would love to be able to sing some of these songs again in a new choir. I was looking at "Lo How a Rose", but your edition seems to point to a different piece.

John.

Hi John,
I remember your name - did you go to Sydney Choral Festival in 1992? "Lo How a Rose" occupies the bottom half of the second page of score, after the Canzonetta by Vecchi. You might want to try downloading the entire PDF at TUMS Busking Book which has the table of contents, and you can pick and choose which bits you want to sing :)
Best regards, Philip
