Hi Walker, I think ''martir' '' is as correct as ''martire'' here; martir is just a poetical form with the last vowel removed, as in ''quand' '' (quando). I have found many references to the shortened title on the internet, though not as much as for the complete title. :Hey. I decided to change it because both of my sources (a 1581 and 1617 printing of Arcadelt's 1st book of madrigals) include the e at the end of the title. Maybe it was dropped in later editions. — [[User:Walkertron5000|Walkertron5000]] 23:58, 15 June 2010 (UTC) | :Hey. Welcome
Welcome to CPDL. It is great to have you contributing editions (of Arcadelt) to ChoralWiki. I see you already made a user page, and I've set up redirects from your login user page to your user page, as well as from your user talk page to this, your login user talk page (these facilitate navigation back and forth). If there is any help you need, feel free to contact me or any of the Administrators here at ChoralWiki. – Chucktalk Giffen♫ 13:07, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Quand'io penso al martir
Hi Walker, I think martir' is as correct as martire here; martir is just a poetical form with the last vowel removed, as in quand' (quando). I have found many references to the shortened title on the internet, though not as much as for the complete title. Regards, —Carlos 13:36, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
